My Style: Dressing for a Cause

Last Updated on May 6, 2022 by Ellen Christian

When Revenge Is offered to send me a t-shirt to feature on my site, I was instantly drawn to the red wolf t-shirt.  I have always felt a connection to the grey wolf so I was curious about the red wolf.  When I was little and read the Little House on the Prairie books, I remember wishing I could lay in bed and listen to the wolves howl like they did in the books.  Wolves are such beautiful animals.   I have several t-shirts that feature grey wolves but I don’t know anything about the red wolf.

After doing some research, I learned that the red wolf was native to the south eastern part of the United States and was believed to be extinct in the wild in 1980. Thanks to captive breading programs, red wolves are believed to be breading successfully in the wild right now.   The red wolf is the most rare and endangered of the wolf species: 100 live in the wild and about 200 live in captivity.

Dressing for a Cause

Revenge Is offers a collection of t-shirts that features endangered animals.  One of these t-shirts has a beautiful design of a red wolf on it with the words Fading Away. Revenge Is designs and manufactures branded “activist message” t-shirts, tank tops and other apparel using eco-friendly material. They are made in the USA and the fabric is made from a 50/50 blend of recycled plastic bottles (RPET) and organic cotton.  The ink is water based.

Also in the endangered animals collection are: Lonesome George (tortoise), dolphin, elephant, zebra, panda, lynx, gazelle, snow leopard, owl, tiger, and pocket mouse.  5% of each sale is donated to charity.  This Red Wolf t-shirt is super soft and comfortable and I love the trendy design.

I love that I can share my love of the wolf and help bring awareness of their endangered status to other people by wearing this shirt.

  1. T-shirts and clothing are really a great way to bring a voice to a cause. I love your Red Wolf design. I like their elephants and hope they have a white seal soon so I could further support that cause as well.
