Clarins Holiday 2010 Colour: Barocco

Last Updated on December 24, 2020 by Ellen Christian

Clarins Barocco Collection is inspired by the dramatic, daring and sensual style of the baroque period. From luxurious draperies to emblematic scrolls, rich golds and striking musical harmonies – this time in history was one of excess, glamour and mystery. The new collection from Clarins introduces four limited edition pieces that celebrate every woman and her unique beauty.

Barocco Face Palette – A soft, light compact powder with a scroll motif in peachy-pink and sandy-beige. The combination of the two shades is perfect for illuminating the face or adding matte touches to the complexion.

Barocco Shimmering Gold Powder for Face and Decollete – An elegant black and gold powder box holds little nuggets dusted with golden pearl. With a sweep of the puff, they release a fine powder to beautifully enhance the skin with sparkling reflections.

Barocco Eye Colour Trio – A trio of shades to dress the eyes in light and shade. Create the perfect smoky eye for day and night with these ultra-fine textures that can be combined, layered, or blended together for perfect holiday makeup. Create a wash of bronze to enhance the eyes, black to define the eyelids and gold to catch the light and brighten the inner corners.

Barocco Rogue Prodige – The purple velvet drapes of the Baroque period are the inspiration for the sublime, intense colour of this lipstick. The rich formula combines long-hold colour, extreme shine and total comfort.

There is just something about Clarins that screams luxury and elegance to me. Since 1954, the Clarins Group has used its unrivalled expertise in the field of beauty to offer its consumers the safest, most effective products that deliver real results. From the very beginning, Clarins goal was to create highly effective products containing the highest quality ingredients, while respecting the environment.

If you have a party or event to attend this holiday season, what better time to show off your elegant side? You may be an overworked mom during the day, but when you step out in that little black dress at your husband’s Christmas party, you want to world to see the glamorous woman you are inside.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Shimmering Gold Powder by Clarins. You simply dust it across your decollete with the puff included and it leaves behind a gentle sparkle on your skin.  This is the perfect accent for that sexy little Christmas dress you’re wearing this year. It’s a light shimmery sparkle not an overwhelming splash of glitz and glimmer like the younger set wears. You’ll end up looking glamorous and sophisticated with a healthy glow to your skin.  This is a great way to pamper yourself on those special occasions.

Clarins products can be purchased directly from their website or from select Clarins counters across the country. Use their store locator to find one near you. In my area, I can find them at Macy’s and Sephora.

My thanks to Clarins for allowing me to review their product.
