Laura Mercier’s Tightline Cake Eyeliner

Last Updated on December 21, 2021 by Ellen Christian

I love eyeliner but I’ve always been a bit intimidated by it.  I don’t really like the black line around your eyes kind of look that seems to be popular with so many of the younger women now.  I’ve tried “smudging” pencil eyeliner and liquid eyeliner before to create a softer look but it just doesn’t work for me.

Laura Mercier’s Tightline Cake Eyeliner gives me exactly the look I want for eyeliner!  This eyeliner is in a cake form in a little compact with a mirror for ease of application.  Using a FLAT (not pointed) eyeliner brush, you simply feather or smudge the eyeliner between the lashes of your lower eye.

I love the way this looks. I tried really hard to get a photograph of how it looked when I applied it but just couldn’t come up with a close up shot that did it justice. Definitely love this new eyeliner.

  1. Oh, I love this! I always think that eyeliner like this looks better than the liquid liner and it’s easier than you think to put on! I’ll have to check out this brand!

  3. I’ve heard great things about Laura Mercier’s foundation so I’m sure her eyeliner is just as awesome. I would love to try this. Eyeliner can be tricky, took me a while to finally get the hang out it. I usually only wear eyeliner for special occasions.

  4. Ooh, awesome. I don’t think I’ve ever seen eyeliner in cake form before. Wonder if it’s much easier to use than pencil/liquid.
