Paper Doll Project #Fashion

Last Updated on October 13, 2021 by Ellen Christian

Once a month or so, I’ve been participating in the Paper Doll Project. The Paper Doll Project is a fashion challenge where each style blogger chooses one item from their wardrobe that they’re having problems creating a look for. They are paired with another style blogger who creates a look for them using that item. The original blogger then needs to search their wardrobe, local stores and thrift shops to come up with a look that matches the recommendation as closely as possible.

I started with a really cute peach colored Willi Smith top that I haven’t been able to come up with an outfit for. I was paired with Dani from Tulips to Kiss You With.  She recommended a pair of dark brown cigarette pants, khaki colored blazer and sandals.

I had a pair of dark brown cigarette style pants (Worn Jeans) already so I was good for those.  I absolutely didn’t own anything resembling a blazer in any color.  For some reason, I always forget about layering clothes.  I headed my favorite upscale thrift store in the city to see what I could find.  No blazers to be found in my size or color choices but I did find this really cute khaki colored denim jacket by Kikit Jeans that worked perfectly.  I added in this funky homemade bracelet I found at a local boutique.

Dani recommended sandals but September in Vermont really isn’t sandal weather. I didn’t have anything in my closet that would match for sandals and none of the stores had sandals out this close to winter so I went with these really cool combat boots I have fallen in love with from Go Jane.

This is the total look.  What do you think?  Nail polish is Sunset Sail by China Glaze.
