The Marriage Bargain by Sandra Edwards

Last Updated on January 14, 2022 by Ellen Christian

You caught me again, relaxing with a great romance book.  The Marriage Bargain by Sandra Edwards is a fairy tale come true.  Camille Chandler is a journalist who works for one of *those* tabloids. Julian de Lauren is a super rich French playboy.  Julian runs an ad looking for a single actress for an extended job abroad.    Camille’s Boss wants her to pretend to audition for the job so she can get all the juicy details of what de Lauren is up to and then walk out at the last minute.  Camille refuses and suddenly finds herself without a job and forced to consider Julian’s offer to act as his wife for 6 months.

The acting job would have been the perfect way to enjoy a vacation abroad but when you add in a grandfather who is determined to choose Julian’s bride himself and a spurned ex-lover, things start to get interesting.  When sparks start to fly between Camille and Julian the book gets even harder to put down.  Camille convinces herself that the way she is starting to feel about Julian is just part of her acting job.  Julian is entranced because he’s never met anyone like Camille before.

If you love romance books that are straight out of a fairy tale, you’ll love The Marriage Bargain.  The characters are fun and realistic.  The setting is a romantic dream come true.  The Marriage Bargain is definitely a must read!
