Free Spirit Baked Eye Colour Palette

Last Updated on March 2, 2022 by Ellen Christian

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it only stands to reason that I am looking for soft pastels and muted hues to compliment my look.  Honestly, those tend to be my colors of choice to begin with.  When I saw the Laura Mercier Free Spirit Baked Eye Shadow Palette, I fell in love.

The Free Spirit Baked Eye Shadow Palette has five baked eye colors in one compact and also includes a double-ended Eye Colour/Crème Eye Detail Brush to make application easy. You can create so many different looks using each shade dry for a more natural look or wet to add intensity and drama to your eyes. The Free Spirit Baked Eye Colour Palette is included in their new Arabesque collection for Spring of 2013.

I love the slim, compact case that the palette comes in.  Some eye shadow palettes are so bulky that it’s difficult for me to fit them in my cosmetic case to take on the go for touch ups.  No worries with this palette.  It is the perfect size to take a long with you.

The beauty of a wet/dry palette is that the colors can be used dry for a soft, natural look or they can be used wet for a darker, more bold look.  In their wet state, the colors are very long lasting.  In the dry state, the colors really serve to give your eyes a natural tint with just a touch of color and sparkle. That is perfect for me since I prefer the natural look but if you’re looking for a darker, more bold color on your eyes, use this palette wet.  Either way I plan on using the colors in this new palette quite a bit this season!

This is the look I got using the Free Spirit Baked Eye Shadow Palette using the Pink Tutu color dry.  I love the soft pastel!

  1. I like that look too and love that you showed how great it looks in your photo. In the past I’ve tried these types of eye shadows and wasn’t pleased with the look. I think this one would be great to try.
